The iconic 1997 multi-starrer film “Border” was a massive hit, and now, preparations for its sequel, “Border 2,” have begun. Initially, reports suggested that Ayushmann Khurrana would be joining Sunny Deol in the new film. However, recent reports indicate that Khurrana has decided to exit the project.

According to a recent report by Mid-Day, Ayushmann Khurrana no longer wishes to work on “Border 2” alongside Sunny Deol. Khurrana was cast to play an army soldier, a role that initially excited both him and the film’s producers. On the 27th anniversary of the original “Border” in June 2024, actor Sunny Deol officially announced the sequel. In a heartfelt post, he wrote, “A soldier is coming back to fulfill a 27-year-old promise once again. India’s biggest war film, Border 2.”
