iQOO 13 Launch Date Leaked: All The Details We Know So Far

The anticipation for the iQOO 13, the next flagship device from Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO, is building up as tech enthusiasts eagerly await its release. According to various reports, the smartphone could be launched in India by December 5, 2024. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, possibly named the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite). The iQOO 13 will be among the first smartphones to showcase the next-gen chipset, promising top-tier performance and cutting-edge features.

iQOO 13 Launch Date (Leaked):

A report by Smartprix, citing tipster Yogesh Brar, hints that the iQOO 13 could make its debut in China in November 2024, before arriving in India in December. This follows the launch pattern of its predecessor, the iQOO 12, which was unveiled in China in November last year, with a global release a month later.

While iQOO has not officially confirmed the launch dates, the rumors suggest that the brand is gearing up to make a significant impact with the iQOO 13, especially in markets like India where the demand for high-performance devices is growing rapidly.

Geekbench Performance Leaks:

A major point of excitement surrounding the iQOO 13 is its Geekbench appearance. A listing for a device with the model number V2408A, believed to be the iQOO 13, has surfaced on Geekbench, revealing some key specifications. According to the listing:

•The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor, with two performance cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six efficiency cores running at 3.53GHz.

•The device scored 3,142 points in the single-core test and 10,052 points in the multi-core test.

These scores indicate that the iQOO 13 will deliver blazing-fast performance, surpassing the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which scored 3,069 (single-core) and 9,080 (multi-core) with a similar Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. While Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max leads the single-core performance chart with 3,562 points, the iQOO 13 still has an edge in multi-core performance.

The iQOO 13 will reportedly be one of the first smartphones to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is set to be unveiled later this month. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to bring significant improvements in both processing power and energy efficiency, thanks to its enhanced architecture. This chipset will give the iQOO 13 an advantage over many competitors, especially in performance-heavy tasks like gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven processes.

Display and Design Enhancements

iQOO is also focusing on delivering an enhanced visual experience with the iQOO 13. Reports suggest that the smartphone will feature BOE’s latest display technology, promising vibrant colors, better contrast ratios, and smoother refresh rates. This means that the iQOO 13 will be an ideal choice for users who prioritize high-quality visuals for gaming, streaming, and media consumption.

Memory and Operating System

The Geekbench listing also reveals that the iQOO 13 will come with 16GB of RAM (likely in its higher variant), which ensures smooth performance even during heavy multitasking or gaming. The device is also expected to run on Android 15, with Vivo’s custom FuntouchOS 15 layer. This combination of a powerful chipset, ample memory, and the latest Android OS guarantees a seamless user experience, whether for productivity or entertainment.

Competitor Comparison:

When it comes to performance, the iQOO 13 looks set to outshine many flagship devices. Its multi-core benchmark score surpasses even the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, in the single-core category, Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max still holds a slight advantage. Despite this, the iQOO 13’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will make it one of the most capable devices on the market, offering a balanced mix of power and efficiency.
