He breathed his last on the morning of August 10 at a hospital in Mumbai, after battling cancer for over a year and a half. Vijay Kadam had initially overcome cancer, but unfortunately, the disease returned, ultimately claiming his life. Despite his illness, Kadam remained a resilient figure in the industry, known for his indomitable spirit and dedication to his craft.

During the 1980s and 90s, Vijay Kadam was a well-known name in Marathi films, TV shows, and stage productions.
