Tata Motors has officially launched the much-anticipated Tata Curvv EV in India, marking its foray into the burgeoning SUV coupe segment. This new electric vehicle (EV) introduces a blend of sporty design and advanced technology, setting a new benchmark in the Indian automotive market. Not only does it cater to the rising demand for EVs, but it also comes with petrol and diesel variants, making it a versatile offering. With the Citroen Basalt also expected to debut in this segment soon, the competition is heating up.
Tata Curvv EV Price and Variants
The Tata Curvv EV starts at an introductory price of Rs. 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Creative variant equipped with a 45kWh battery pack. The top-end trim, Empowered+A, is priced at Rs. 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV coupe is available in five trim variants:
- Creative
- Accomplished
- Accomplished+S
- Empowered+
- Empowered+A
Customers can choose from five striking colour options: Empowered Oxide, Flame Red, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Virtual Sunrise. Bookings for the Tata Curvv EV will commence on August 12, with test drives available from August 14 at Tata Motor showrooms. The first deliveries are scheduled to begin on August 23, providing eager customers a chance to experience this new SUV coupe soon.

The Tata Curvv EV and its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts share a sleek SUV coupe design, with distinctive elements that set them apart. The vehicle features 18-inch wheels with aero inserts, robust body cladding, and flush-fitting door handles. A continuous LED DRL light strip adorns the front, complemented by lower-positioned LED projector headlamps.

The Tata Curvv EV is powered by a single front-mounted 123kW liquid-cooled motor that delivers 167 PS, enabling a swift 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h. The EV offers two battery pack options: 45kWh and 55kWh.
- 45kWh battery: Provides an ARAI-claimed range of up to 502 km on a single charge, with a real-world estimated range of up to 350 km.
- 55kWh battery: Offers an ARAI-claimed range of 585 km, with a real-world estimated range of up to 425 km.
The base model of the Curvv EV comes with the smaller battery pack, while the higher variants can be equipped with the larger 55kWh battery. Fast charging capabilities allow the EV to gain up to 150 km of range with just 15 minutes of charging using a 70kW DC fast charger. The Curvv EV also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging.
Advanced Features
A standout feature of the Tata Curvv EV is its Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 20 features on the top variant. The vehicle boasts an array of modern technological enhancements:
- Infotainment: 12.3-inch floating touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Sound system: JBL-tuned audio with a 320W subwoofer.
- Digital instrument cluster: 10.25-inch display.
- Sunroof: Voice-enabled panoramic sunroof.
- Climate control: Automatic with an air purifier.
- Connected car features: Tata’s iRA app for a connected driving experience.
